My stay at The Point was absolutely great. We had a warm and lovely welcome and got a lot of information. The beautiful view over the bay and mountains from our room and during breakfast was amazing. And the lamb-feeding experience was a 5/5 on the cuteness scale. What a lovely Kiwi experience!
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

This beautiful B & B is located in the best spot in Kia Koura, with a seal colony just a 5-minute walk away and the sea right across the road. The hosts, Gwen and Peter, are wonderful and go above and beyond to make guests feel at home. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated, and the breakfasts are delicious with freshly made eggs and homemade jams. The location is perfect for visiting the seal colony, with a trail around the bay right across the street and a food truck nearby for a tasty fish meal.
Felt good, nothing to complain about.

I had a wonderful stay at this charming bed and breakfast. The location was absolutely stunning with beautiful views of the sea and garden. The host, Gwenda, was incredibly helpful and friendly, making sure that everything was perfect during my visit. The house itself was lovely, and I especially loved the use of the guest lounge which added a relaxing and homely touch. It was also great to be slightly removed from the main part of town, allowing for a peaceful and tranquil experience. I absolutely loved my stay and would highly recommend this romantic cottage-type accommodation for anyone looking for a special getaway.

Located on the coast up north of the town center, The Point B&B offers a tranquil escape right on the beach. Guests can enjoy breathtaking views and take leisurely walks along the shoreline. Just a short distance away, there are several nice eateries where you can indulge in delicious seafood. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with ensuite bathrooms and good showers. The hosts, Gwenda and Peter, are friendly and make you feel welcome. The breakfast, although basic, includes a tasty fresh egg on toast. The property also has a dog and a cat, adding to the homely atmosphere.
Some guests felt that the rooms appeared tired and in need of updating.

I had a wonderful stay at a cozy B&B in Kaikoura. The hostess, Gwenda, was extremely welcoming and had the heating already on in my room when I arrived. The house was absolutely beautiful, and my room was well decorated and very cozy. The highlight was the stunning view of the sunrise from the breakfast table. Gwenda was also very accommodating with my early start for whale watching. The breakfast spread was delicious, with poached eggs on toast, fresh fruit, cereal, and a variety of homemade jams. I can't wait to go back and will definitely recommend it to friends. I had a fantastic and memorable experience at this lovely B&B.

Nestled next to the sea, this B&B offers a peaceful retreat close to the Point where you can enjoy watching playful seals. The rooms are well-appointed with spacious, clean and bright bathrooms. The breakfast, served with a view of the sea, features a variety of homemade jams and preserves. Guests can also relax in the large sitting room, while those seeking adventure can take a scenic walk up the hill or visit the Green Penguin restaurant, just a short trek away.
The sitting room may look a bit old-fashioned for some guests.
